One AEW veteran has no intentions of leaving the company.

In December 2024, Dustin Rhodes announced that he had signed a new deal with All Elite Wrestling and intended to retire in the company.

After his last WWE run ended in March 2019, the star joined All Elite Wrestling in time for the first Double or Nothing pay-per-view. At the event, he had an acclaimed match against his brother, Cody Rhodes, and has remained part of the promotion ever since.

Currently, Rhodes is a staple of Ring of Honor TV, where he holds the World Tag Team Championships with Sammy Guevara and the World Six-Man Tag Team Titles with The Von Erichs.

Although he has previously made his intentions to hang up his boots once his current contract up clear, many fans still ask if he will ever return to WWE, where he spent over 15 years of his career.

Rhodes recently responded to one fan on social media, who wanted to see him finish his career alongside Cody. Rhodes not only said he would finish where he was, but that he felt it was the only place he had “ever felt respected.”

“Nope!! AEW is where I will finish. Only place I have ever felt respected.”

WWE Hall Of Famer Believes AEW’s Dustin Rhodes Should Have Been A World Champion

WWE Hall of Famer JBL has named Dustin Rhodes as a star who should have held a World Title in the company. The star explained that, as Goldust, Rhodes would have been a great champion due to his ability as worker and the “incredible heat” he was able to generate from the audience.
