AEW Star Wardlow hasn’t had the best start to his second TNT Championship run after his rental car was broken into and his possessions including the title stolen.
At Revolution, Wardlow started his second run as the TNT Champion, when he defeated Samoa Joe for the title.
The new champ is scheduled to defend the title against Will Hobbs on Dynamite. However, he will have to do it in new ring gear and with a new title after being the victim of criminal activity.
Taking to social media, Wardlow posted a video of the crime scene alongside the caption:
“Might have new gear tomorrow. Will also have an abundance of frustration to take out to say the very least…. Damn”

During the video, he explained the situation stating he will fight Hobbs in his street clothes if he has to before laying out the threat of a broken jaw to whoever stole his belongings.
“Well thanks to the person who broke into my rental car and took absolutely everything from me,” Wardlow says in the video. “My TNT title, my ring gear, my boots, my whole life were in those bags. I don’t know if that means I’ll have to beat the s*** out of Hobbs in these clothes I’m wearing right now, but one way or another I’m going to make it to Sacramento and we’re going to get this s*** done. Whoever did do ths, better thank God I didn’t catch you in the act as your jaw would be as shattered as this glass is.”
This Is The Second AEW Championship To Be Stolen
Unfortunately, the TNT title getting stolen isn’t the first time an AEW Championship has gone missing. In September 2019, the first-ever AEW World Champion, Chris Jericho went to the cops and reported the championship stolen.
After winning the title at the inaugural All Out pay-per-view, Jericho was travelling home via limo. During the ride, he asked the driver to stop at a Longhorn Steakhouse restaurant when he believes the theft took place. After the news of the missing title went public it was returned three days later.
Hopefully, there is a similar outcome to the situation with the TNT Championship.
