AEW Tell Warner Media To Pull Jeff Hardy Advertising

Following his third DUI arrest in the past few years, a new report claims AEW has asked Warner Media to pull all advertising featuring Jeff Hardy.

AEW star Jeff Hardy has found himself in trouble with the law once again following his arrest for a DUI offence on June 13th.

According to Volusia County jail records, Hardy was charged with Driving While License Canceled/Suspended/Revoked, Violation of Restrictions Placed on Drivers License, and DUI Alcohol/Drugs Third Offense within 10 Years.

Hardy is set to appear before a judge on June 14th at 1.30 pm. The AEW star is currently being held at the James Foxman Justice Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.

AEW has already removed Jeff Hardy from advertising from their upcoming Road Rager event but Dave Meltzer speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio has confirmed that the company has contacted broadcast partner Warner Media to ask Hardy be pulled from all AEW advertising:

“AEW did call Warner Media and told them to basically remove Jeff Hardy from all advertising and things like that. They have not made a statement, they’ve had all day to make a statement. I think it’s not good that they haven’t made a statement. They pulled the advertising from the ladder match so we don’t know if they’re going to do a two-team ladder match, if they’re going to throw the match out, we don’t know right now.”

Meltzer also gave an update on AAA’s TripleMania show on June 18th where Jeff and Matt Hardy were set to headline in a tag team match. While Meltzer couldn’t confirm anything, he says AAA is keen to find a new partner for Matt Hardy in the bout:

“As far as TripleMania goes, there’s nothing right now that we can report substantively about it because nothing’s confirmed. It was gonna be The Hardys vs. Dragon Lee and Dralistico as the main event Sunday in Tijuana. They want to keep Matt Hardy in the match and they would like to get another partner for him and right now there is not that guy so they’re gonna work on that.”
