AEW Talent Frustrated With Tony Khan’s Refusal To Do One Necessary Thing

AEW President Tony Khan angry

AEW talent are reportedly frustrated with Tony Khan‘s production decisions.

On the February 19th episode of AEW Dynamite, Megan Bayne defeated Kris Statlander after interference from ally Penelope Ford. After the match, Bayne and Ford began a 2 on 1 attack on Statlander, leading Thunder Rosa to come make the save with a chair. The segment did not seem to go as planned, and after a tug of war with the chair, Rosa backed down and left, causing critics to wonder why she was made to look foolish.

Speaking about the situation on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez revealed that talent backstage in AEW are frustrated with Tony Khan’s refusal to hold production meetings before the show as such meetings could help work out issues like this before television goes to air.

“The bigger story here than this was just such a f*cking disaster is not a week goes by, not one week goes by where I don’t hear from somebody in AEW saying, ‘Why the f*ck don’t we have production meetings? We need production meetings. Things happen on every show where if we had a production meeting, they wouldn’t happen.’ But Tony [Khan] refuses to do production meetings, and here we are. This is another one.

What in the f*ck happened here? Nobody knows. I didn’t get a single good explanation for it. It was just everybody was on a different page, and you made the baby face look like an absolute idiot, and away we go.” (h/t WrestlingNews.co)
