AEW’s Fuego Del Sol has teased a change of character following a cryptic tweet and removing his profile picture.
The depth of All Elite Wrestling’s roster, while beneficial to the longevity and freshness of the promotion, can also be a hindrance. Its influx of former WWE Superstars and top independent prospects has resulted in other stars, who would have otherwise flourished, falling flat.
One of those is Fuego Del Sol. ‘The Master of the Tornado DDT’ rose to prominence for his lengthy losing streak, as well as his involvement in Sammy Guevara’s vlog. Now, it’s often forgotten that Del Sol is an officially contracted talent.
The 26-year-old has acknowledged this, removing his Twitter profile picture and posting a vague tweet, teasing change:
“Change is going to come.”
Change is going to come.

Current fan speculation in the replies to Fuego Del Sol’s tweet hint at Fuego making modifications to his mask or departing the promotion. Several lower-card talents, such as Marko Stunt, Joey Janela, and Alan Angels, haven’t had their contracts renewed as of late, so it’s entirely plausible that Del Sol is next to face the axe.
Fuego first appeared on Dark’s 9 June 2020 broadcast, losing to SCU. He failed to pick up a victory for just over a year, finally winning a tag team match last July. The fan support behind Fuego resulted in him challenging for Miro’s TNT Championship twice, losing both times, but finding himself signed to the promotion regardless.
He last wrestled in AEW on the 6 July Dynamite, teaming with Leon Ruffin and Bear Country in a loss to The Acclaimed and The Gunn Club.
