AEW Stars Make Shock Return At Revolution

The Gunns may have retained their AEW World Tag Team Titles but Revolution still didn’t end as they would have hoped.

The champions were made to work for it, but they eventually held off The Acclaimed, Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal, and Danhausen & Orange Cassidy. They picked up the win after hitting the 3:10 to Yuma on the very nice but very evil one.

After the match the duo were interviewed in the ring by Renee Paquette. Flying high from the win, The Gunns said they were the best team in the world, and this brought out Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.

FTR quickly took out The Gunns before posing with the Tag Team Titles. Their return came just days after Colten and Austin Gunn said they had “shoot” issues with the former champions.

FTR’s AEW Contracts Expiring Soon

The duo of Harwood and Wheeler had been away from the ring since January when they lost their IWGP World Tag Team Titles at Wrestle Kingdom 17. Shortly after this the pair announced they would be taking a break from the ring to recover from a physically grueling 2022.

Interestingly, they also revealed that their contracts with AEW expire in April. This led to a great deal of speculation that they could be heading back to WWE where they previously on the NXT, Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

However, Harwood had recently stated that FTR would be open to returning to AEW before April if Tony Khan asked them to be involved.
