Top AEW name says he’d be willing to take over, but doubts Tony Khan will approve.
Tony Khan has been running several business ventures both in and outside of wrestling. He is the co-owner of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and the President of AEW, which has shows like Dynamite, Collision, and its various pay-per-views. He also owns another wrestling promotion, Ring of Honor.
Due to the number of businesses he has to handle, Bryan Danielson was asked in an appearance on the Pario Magazine if he was interested in taking up some of Tony’s responsibilities by managing ROH. The AEW star answered that he was willing to do it, but Tony might not.
The former AEW World Champion added that despite the many workloads of Tony Khan, he manages to juggle them well, reiterating that he was always open to doing whatever All Elite Wrestling wants him to do.
That would interest me. I don’t think Tony has interested that. But I mean, I think Tony does a really great job of juggling all these plates. Like he does a pretty great job with it. You know? I’m always open to doing whatever the company needs. And so yeah, I would love to do it.”
Bryan Danielson Says He Would Do Something Different If He Were In-Charge Instead of AEW President Tony Khan
Bryan Danielson continued talking about Ring of Honor by saying it was a cool product, especially for their younger talent to gain exposure. He praised the recent PPV, Death Before Dishonor, mentioning names like Lee Moriarty, Bandido, Hechiecero, Athena, and more.
The AEW star noted that with the amount and different set of talents they have, the perspectives of each other are different. Bryan added that he would probably do something different if he were in charge, but states it won’t be better than Tony Khan.
I would do something a little bit different here, but I wouldn’t say that my version of it would be any better than Tony Khan’s version of it. You know, I don’t think that, you know what I mean? I’m not here angling for a job to take over Ring of Honor.”
In other news: Bryan Danielson “never say never” in a possible AEW and WWE partnership.
