AEW Star Suffers Injury; Shares Graphic Image

AEW Announces Tournament To Determine New Number One Contender

AEW star shares graphic image after sustaining an injury.

Injuries in the wrestling world are uncommon, whether as an in-ring star or not. Although it’s mostly the actual wrestlers who sustain injuries in varying degrees, some wrestling personalities still get in trouble outside the squared circle, though mainly uncommon. Unfortunately, Justin Roberts is among the unfortunate wrestling personalities who got hurt outside the action.

AEW ring announcer Justin Roberts recently shared on his Instagram an X-ray photo of a broken toe. He paired this post with the song of Alice in Chains titled Them Bones. It’s unknown what happened to the wrestling personality, but despite the injury, it’s expected that he will continue his role in All Elite Wrestling.

Although Justin Roberts mainly stays away from the action as a ring announcer, he still gets involved now and then, especially recently against The Young Bucks. An example is during the August 13 episode of Dynamite, where he was suddenly attacked by Matt and Nick Jackson. Due to the tag team’s actions, they were fined $10,000 each by Tony Khan.

Another former WWE Star May Not Be Joining Justin Roberts In AEW Anytime Soon

Wrestling has seen several iconic ring announcers in the past, among them being Samantha Irvin. Like Justin Roberts, she used to announce in WWE, and following her exit, many speculated that she might become All Elite as well, especially with her husband, Ricochet, being in the roster. However, that might not be the case.

In October last year, Tony Schiavone was asked during the What Happened When podcast if Irvin would join AEW, which he noted was unlikely, as All Elite was already satisfied with having Justin Roberts and Arkady Aura.

We already got the best ring announcer in the world with Justin Roberts. And Arkady Aura is a great ring announcer, who’s a great person and is doing a great job. [Samantha Irvin] ain’t coming here. I wouldn’t think. And of course, I’ve been wrong so many times, but why would we?” [H/T SeScoops]
