AEW Star Shoots On Jungle Boy For “Staying Up Until 6am With The Boss”

Jungle Boy AEW Full Gear entrance.

It wouldn’t be an AEW pay-per-view without stars trading insults on social media in the aftermath. This time, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry has found himself going back and forth with one of the promotion’s up and coming tag teams.

At AEW Full Gear, Jungle Boy battled his former friend and tag team partner Luchasaurus in a brutal Cage Match. The feud between the pair, as well as Christian Cage who has taken AEW’s resident dinosaur under his wing, has been building for months, and even involved Perry’s family. Following almost 20 minutes of violence it was Jungle Boy who scored the win after a remarkable leap from the top of the cage.

AEW Star Calls Out Jungle Boy

Following the event, Jack Perry appeared at the post-Full Gear press conference. Here he was asked about the match holding some similarities to the Hell in a Cell match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker in 1997. Not only was the bloody clash between two stars of very different sizes, a couple of spots in the contest at Full Gear called back to that first-ever Hell in a Cell encounter.

In answer to the question Jungle Boy acknowledged the call backs, and said that he was wearing Shawn Michaels-inspired gear as Luchasaurus had said the match at Badd Blood was his favourite. In response to this Austin Gunn shared a photo of himself and his brother Colten in their own gear paying tribute to Michaels writing, “Kid wants to be a Gunn so bad.”

Pulling no punches in his response, Jungle Boy fired back – “I don’t know… I prefer being booked on the PPV’s.” At this, Colten Gunn decided to get involved and called out the high-flying star.

“I guess if we changed with the bucks and stayed up until 6 am with the boss we could get a spot too.”
