AEW Star Shares Positive Update Following Surgery

An AEW star has undergone multiple surgeries and is very much on the road to recovery.

Last competing on the Jericho Cruise back in January 2024, footage from Paul Wight’s match circulated online with many pointing out Wight’s lack of mobility in the short clip. Also during the cruise, Wight told fans that he was getting knee surgery and teased there would be more matches. In a positive update from the AEW star, multiple successful surgeries have been carried out.

Taking to Instagram to provide an update, Wight revealed that he has had both knees and both hips replaced and is seen in the gym working out on a leg press:

Today was a great day! Grateful. ❤️😎💪. Both knees both hips replaced. No pain! Well other than the hard work to get back into shape. That’s not egg shaped. lol. #rebuild#gym#fun

Wight’s last match on AEW TV saw the giant team with Chris Jericho, Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega to defeat the team of Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, Powerhouse Hobbs and Brian Cage in a street fight. Wight played a small part in the match but was taken out by Hobbs in the early stages after the former TNT Champion slammed the veteran onto a car.

AEW Sees Ratings Bounceback

While All Elite Wrestling prepares to host its biggest show of the year once again with All In at Wembley Stadium, many are keeping a close eye on the ratings as the media rights negotiations remain ongoing. In more positive news for the promotion, the 250th episode of AEW Dynamite drew its best rating in 3 months and opened with the 1-hour epic between Will Ospreay and MJF.

In a new interview, the AEW star has provided more information.
