Adam Copeland Undergoes Surgery

AEW Star Adam Copeland Undergoes Successful Surgery

AEW Star Adam Copeland has undergone surgery after suffering a serious injury at AEW Double or Nothing last month.

Copeland, FKA Edge, fractured his tibia after a botched cell dive in his Barbed Wire Steel Cage match against House of Black’s Malakai Black.

Copeland would confirm his injury status in the days following the PPV and now the WWE Hall of Famer has confirmed his surgery status.

Taking to Instagram, Copeland wrote:

“First day, first morning post-surgery, and I wanted to see what I can pull off,” Copeland said.

“So right now I’m about to walk through the Forbidden Door. Since I can’t walk through the Forbidden Door of the pay-per-view and face someone from New Japan Pro-Wrestling

, I can walk through [the Forbidden Door of the gym].” [h/t f4wonline]

RAW Ratings Drop Following King of the Ring

WWE’s ratings for Monday Night Raw have seen a slight dip following the companies King of the Ring PLE in Saudi Arabia.

This week’s episode of Raw featured a clash of generations as Rey Mysterio took on World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, but, despite this the show saw a slight dip in numbers.

This week’s episode recorded an average of 1.679 million viewers which is down 0.7% week on week.

This represents the lowest number in three weeks and featured a 3.6% drop in the key 18-49 demographic.

WWE will not be worried about these numbers as they continue to tout record breaking crowds almost weekly in 2024 at this point.

Kevin Kelly Calls For NJPW Championships To Be Scrapped

Kevin Kelly, who was the English voice of NJPW from 2015 to 2023, has put the company under fire for their failings to improve streaming service NJPW World.

Responding to quotes from NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kevin Kelly would blast the service for being poor for users and only having on update during the past decade…that made the service worse.

Additionally, Kelly would respond to Tanahashi’s criticism of several titles in NJPW stating that at least two titles should be scrapped.

Taking to Twitter, Kelly wrote:

“Head of NJPW World should be held accountable for app failures. Always was terrible for viewers now it’s worse. 10 year site has had one redesign and has gotten worse.

CHAOS and Hontai should merge.

Six man titles should go bye bye. KOPW too. World TV Title and NEVER combine?”
