Thunder Rosa may be ruffling some feathers backstage.
According to FanByte, AEW Women’s World Champion, Thunder Rosa, some company officials have claimed that Rosa has a ‘history of berating opponents’ as well as ‘talking down to colleagues’. Per the report, numerous wrestlers who have appeared on the company’s ‘Dark’ and ‘Dark: Elevation’ shows, have noted that Rosa has ‘talked down’ to them in addition to telling an unnamed talent that she was ‘improperly trained’.
Another reported incident occurred following Rosa’s successful AEW Women’s Title defence over Jamie Hayter at AEW: Battle of The Belts III where Rosa accidentally broke Hayter’s nose. Rosa reportedly ‘locked herself in a bathroom’ following the injury, however, the report notes that Rosa may have been upset for a completely unrelated reason.
A separate anonymous talent says that Rosa told her that she lacks basic wrestling fundamentals while a former colleague of ‘La Mera Mera’ says that Rosa was unsafe in the ring during her time in Lucha Underground.
During the August 24 episode of AEW: Dynamite, Rosa announced that she’s been removed from her scheduled title defense against Toni Storm at next weekend’s All Out pay-per-view due to injury. A four-way match between Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, Hikaru Shida, and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D was announced for next weekend’s event, which will determine an interim champion.
