Ahead of the February 24th edition of WWE SmackDown it was announced that Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley would be coming face-to-face.
The two women are set to meet at WrestleMania 39 after Rhea Ripley won the women’s Royal Rumble and chose to take on the SmackDown Women’s Champion.
On the show, Flair was out first and discussed preparing for WrestleMania. However, when she called out Ripley, she was instead presented with Dominik Mysterio. Dominik said that he thinks Flair is jealous of Ripley before talking up how strong she is because she hurts his back when she hugs him.
Flair quickly fired back, commenting that she has a real Latino man at home that calls her “Mami” with a much thicker accent. A reference to her real-life husband and AEW star Andrade El Idolo.
Dominik then tried a different tactic, discussing the fact that they’re both second-generation stars with famous fathers. As expected, Mysterio ran down his father Rey, but The Queen said that Ric Flair can still go, and if he was there he would kick Dominik’s butt. But instead, she would do it herself.
At this, Rhea Ripley’s music hit and she marched to the ring to get in Flair’s face. Although she and Dom quickly bailed back up the ramp.

WWE Preparing For WrestleMania 39
WrestleMania 39 is a little over a month away and the card is beginning to take shape. The event is set to be headlined by the Undisputed WWE Universal Title match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. It has also been reported that WWE legend Lita will be in action on the show.
