It was reported on December 14th that Mandy Rose had been released from her WWE contract. The reported reason is that content that was posted onto Rose’s Fantime page was deemed to be “outside the parameters” of the WWE contract. Since the news of the WWE release broke, the leader of Toxic Attraction has also provided a statement on the matter.
Rose would make her main roster debut alongside Saraya, who was known as Paige in WWE. First seen as a judge on the 2015 Tough Enough season that Mandy Rose competed on, Paige would return to WWE on the November 2017 edition of Raw, stating that show did not come alone. The former Divas Champion watched on as Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville ran to the ring from the crowd, attacking Mickie James and Sasha Banks to stand tall and end the segment.
The trio of Paige, Deville and Rose would be known as Absolution. The group would stay together until the Raw after WrestleMania 34, where Paige would announce her in-ring retirement. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville would continue on as a trio, known collectively as Fire and Desire.
The final appearance of the former Absolution member would take place on the December 13th edition of NXT, less than 24 hours before the news of the release broke online. Rose would lose the NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez on the show after holding the title for 413 days.
