One of the stars of AEW has given an emotional reaction to Liv Morgan’s huge SmackDown Women’s Championship win at Money in the Bank.
In the opening bout of Money in the Bank, Liv Morgan climbed high above Becky Lynch, Asuka, Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Shotzi and Raquel Rodriguez to claim the coveted briefcase.
Things didn’t end there for Morgan as she wasted no time in cashing in her briefcase on Ronda Rousey after the former UFC star had barely seen off Natalya to retain the gold.
Morgan sprinted to the ring, roared on by the capacity crowd, but the dream almost turned into a nightmare. Rousey caught the popular star in an Ankle Lock and it appeared that there was no escape. However, this would be Morgan’s night as she reversed the champion into a pin to win her first championship in WWE.
Following the victory, there was an outpouring of congratulations for Liv Morgan on social media, including a heartwarming message from her friend and old Riott Squad leader, AEW’s Ruby Soho.

Liv Morgan and Srah Logan joined up with Ruby Soho – known as Ruby Riott in WWE – back in 2017 as The Riott Squad. While the trio saw little success during their time as a team, they did take part in feuds with the likes of The Bella Twins and Bayley & Sasha Banks.
Ruby Soho was released from WWE in June 2021 and made her way to AEW, debuting there as the surprise Joker entrant in the women’s Casino Battle Royale at All Out in Chicago that September.
