AEW Star Out In Support of CM Punk Believes He Did “Nothing Wrong”

With CM Punk still off AEW television, one member of the AEW roster has seemingly agreed with suggestions that the straight-edged star was justified in the outburst that led to his removal.

AEW Star Brody King Seemingly Supports CM Punk Comments

Over 5 months has now passed since CM Punk shocked the wrestling world with his comments during the post-All Out media scrum after defeating Jon Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, with the Chicago native not seen on AEW television since and the title subsequently vacated on AEW Dynamite just three days later.

Punk has been on the receiving end of a torrent of criticism for the comments, with WWE star Seth Rollins even describing him as a ‘cancer’ in the locker room.

But one AEW star has seemingly come out in support of Punk’s actions. House Of Black member Brody King recently took to Twitter to ‘like’ a post by @ofthedead209, with the fan suggesting that ‘The Voice Of The Voiceless’ had done nothing wrong.

King had previously been pictured with Punk on Instagram, so his support may not come as a surprise, but it may come as a boost for his friend who was not released by AEW after both his comments and a well-documented subsequent locker room bust up with The Elite.

Punk does remain sidelined with injury and could be available for a comeback later in 2023, but it remains to be seen whether Tony Khan would look to re-introduce the controversial star to the roster.

Punk was also in the headlines earlier this week, with legendary MMA star Randy Couture explaining why his short lived MMA career proved unsuccessful.
