AEW Star Not Open To Facing Tessa Blanchard

A top AEW star is not open to facing Tessa Blanchard.

Earlier last year, Tessa Blanchard returned at Final Resolution and attacked Jordynne Grace. Making her return to the promotion after four years, Blanchard displayed her intentions of going after the top star.

However, her comeback has attracted widespread criticism and negativity from fans online. With her controversial and dramatic past, many have questioned the promotion’s decision to bring her back. In 2020, TNA released Blanchard due to the significant travel restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

She was soon stripped of the title and terminated from her contract after not showing up at shows and failing to submit promo videos. Earlier that year in January, racist remarks and bullying allegations also emerged against Blanchard.

Now back, she is scheduled to face Grace at TNA Genesis in her first match at the promotion since 2020. Soon after, one fan expressed their desire to see Blanchard face Deonna Purrazzo after she’s done with Grace.

However, The Virtuosa had an answer ready on X(Twitter). While not justifying her answer, Purrazzo commented,

“nah.”

Purrazzo is currently signed to AEW, and last fought on the January 4th episode of AEW Collision against Toni Storm.

WWE Hall Of Famer Defends Tessa Blanchard’s TNA Return

Addressing Tessa Blanchard’s TNA return on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T looked at it from a different perspective and asked fans to forgive her.

“Man, the thing is, I’ve already seen criticisms of Tessa Blanchard being back and people still wanting to try to cancel her. Man, y’all get off of it. The thing is, if something was said, if an apology was made and fences were mended, we should be able to move on.

One thing about certain things, in the social media sphere, everybody know about it but don’t nobody really know what’s going on [laughs]. Everybody know about the story but don’t nobody know what’s going on. My thing is, guys, get off of all of this hate and let Tessa Blanchard hopefully try to resurrect her career and go out there and redo this thing all over again. Let’s just look at it as that, a redo.”
