Don’t expect to see all of the stars of AEW at non-televised live events.
All Elite Wrestling recently announced a series of house shows, which have caused controversial scheduling conflicts with the company’s talent. Due to a house show taking place in Jon Moxley’s home state of Ohio, AEW have pulled Mox’s previously postponed appearance from ScrapperMania 7.
Sammy Guevara Only Wants To Take Bumps For The AEW TV Cameras
The press release regarding the inaugural house show on March 18th confirms the following talent will appear.
“The first AEW House Rules show will take place on Saturday, March 18 in Troy, Ohio, at the Hobart Arena and will feature Ohio’s own Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Dr. Britt Baker, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, and many more.”
One name not on the list is Sammy Guevara, who is often known for having some of the most exciting matches on the card. Unfortunately for those who have bought tickets for the March 18th show, an appearance by The Spanish God appears unlikely.
Speaking with Muscle Man Malcolm, Guevara stated that he has no desire to be at non-televised events, saving the bumps for when they really matter.
“On the house shows, you can keep me off those. I’m trying not to have to take bumps, Okay? When I do take bumps. As you see, it’s been [in scenarios like] a crazy Ladder Match, and then you can keep me off for a little bit. I don’t want to bump often. But when I do, I want to make it crazy, so keep me off those.”
The former TNT Champion has taken some of the biggest bumps in the brief history of All Elite Wrestling. Some of Guevara’s most memorable spots include a jumping cutter off a ladder onto Cody Rhodes and being thrown off the top of the Blood and Guts cage by Eddie Kingston.
