On the latest AEW Dark: Elevation taping Anthony Ogogo made a surprise return to action after being out of the ring for six months. Ogogo teamed with The Factory members QT Marshall, Nick Comoroto, and Aaron Solo to take on four local talents.
The Olympian last appeared in an AEW ring on June 4th, when he teamed with QT Marshall to defeat Cody Rhodes and Lee Johnson. Days earlier Ogogo had been defeated by Cody Rhodes at Double or Nothing in the biggest match of his fledgling wrestling career.
Back in July Ogogo revealed that he had undergone a tenth eye surgery, in storyline blamed on a beatdown he received at the hands of Billy Gunn.
“They had to go through my nasal cavity, correct my septum, which was deviated when you smashed my face off the steel barricade. They had to fix the orbit and the medial section, and the orbital flaw, through my nose. You have no idea the pain I’m in right now, but you will do. I promise you, Billy Gunn, you will do. I’m going to make your life a living misery.”
