One AEW talent made a reference to CM Punk’s shoot comments on Hangman Page while commenting on a piece of fan art.
When AEW World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk appeared on this week’s edition of Dynamite, he started by saying some off-script remarks about Hangman Adam Page. Punk called Hangman out for a championship rematch and called him a coward when he didn’t answer the challenge.
Reports afterward suggest that the AEW Champion had “gone into business for himself” and that the part of him calling out Hangman wasn’t planned. This led to speculation regarding Punk being unhappy with Hangman over the promo segments leading to their match at Double or Nothing.
While no one outside of AEW probably knows the actual situation, two people who are close with Punk and may have an idea of what’s going on are FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.
The two were commenting on a piece of fan art that shows them putting Punk up on their shoulders with the AEW World Title. Harwood joked that Punk “bullied [them] into doing this,” while Wheeler referenced the reports of Punk going off-script on Dynamite by saying, “completely went into business for himself with this fan art.”

Further reports have suggested that Punk refused to lose the match against Hangman at Double or Nothing. There was also a belief Punk would’ve no-showed this week’s Dynamite; however, the champion ended up appearing. He’s set to defend the title against Interim AEW World Champion Jon Moxley on next week’s edition of Dynamite.
