AEW Star In Incredible Shape As In-Ring Return Nears

AEW Dynamite set

A long-term AEW absentee has taken to social media to show off their progress as they work towards an in-ring return.

Andrade El Idolo hasn’t featured for AEW since taking part in the Casino Ladder Match back in September 2022. The star revealed in November that he had undergone surgery for a serious pectoral injury he sustained in a trios match in August.

However, it appears that fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the star back in action if a recent social media post is anything to go by.

Andrade shared a photo of himself flexing on Twitter with the caption, “248lbs. Nobody knows!! live in the present because the future is on the way.”

Andrade El Idolo’s AEW Contract Expires “Very Soon”

Although Andrade is nearing an in-ring return, it seems that there’s no guarantee that his long-term plans lie with AEW. Speaking back in April the star admitted that he remains under contract with the company, but that his deal with expire “very soon.”

“First of all, I still work for AEW. I want to clarify that, because I am still with AEW. My contract will expire very soon, but I still belong to AEW. I tore my chest, so I am still in recovery. I had an operation in November, about 4 months off, but am close to being back & to feel at 100%.”

Andrade has long been linked with a return to WWE where he would link back up with his wife Charlotte Flair. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion is also currently on hiatus, and there is no word on when she’ll be back in action.
