AEW Star Hospitalised After Suffering Nasty Injury On Dynamite

AEW Dynamite set

On the March 29th episode of AEW Dynamite the war between the Blackpool Combat Club and The Elite continued.

A week previously the BCC had attacked the Young Bucks in the parking lot as the tensions between the factions increased.

Fast forward seven days and chaos reigned once again as the BCC assaulted Hangman Adam Page and Don Callis during a backstage segment. During the beatdown, Jon Moxley smashed Callis with a forearm that sent him tumbling to the floor where he was shown laying in a pool of his own blood.

PWInsider later reported that Callis had hit his head while falling down, and that’s what caused the nasty-looking gash on his head.

Bryan Alvarez tweeted that Callis went to hospital and received stitches for a cut that “looked like he got hit with a hatchet.”

“Don Callis was essentially kept overnight at the hospital and received a bunch of stitches for what was described as a gash that looked he got hit with a hatchet.”

Alvarez and Dave Meltzer later confirmed on Wrestling Observer Radio that Callis hadn’t sustained a concussion and just received stitches.

Don Callis Not The Only AEW Talent Currently Injured

Callis’ hospital stay comes after it was confirmed that Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks is set for a spell on the sidelines. Jackson suffered a partially torn bicep early on during the Three-Way Trios World Title match on the March 15th episode of Dynamite.

Despite suffering the injury, Matt worked the rest of the match as planned. It was noted that he had decided against undergoing surgery.
