On May 17th, AEW announced that a new show titled Collision will debut on TNT on Saturday, June 17th.
The announcement had become the worst-kept secret in wrestling, but the details around the show had remained unclear. It had been widely reported that CM Punk would make his return to the company at the event, but this appears to be much less certain than it did just two days ago.
Ahead of the announcement it was reported that there would be a firm roster split, which would be put in place to try and improve locker room harmony. This played into the announcement itself when it was revealed in a press release that Collision will feature Thunder Rosa, Miro, Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Andrade El Idolo.
However, Andrade didn’t seem to know much about it. After the news broke the star who has been out injured for a number of months tweeted his surprise at being confirmed for Collision.
Órale!! what news, I had no idea!!!

Andrade El Idolo In Incredible Shape Ahead of AEW Return
Andrade hasn’t featured for AEW since taking part in the Casino Ladder Match back in September 2022. The star revealed in November that he had undergone surgery for a serious pectoral injury he sustained in a trios match in August.
However, it appears that fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the star back in action if a recent social media post is anything to go by.
