A top AEW star has explained her irregular Dynamite showings.
Mostly appearing on Collision, Indie shows, and previously on Rampage, former ROH Women’s World Champion Deonna Purrazzo has opened up on the reason behind irregular appearances on the Wednesday night Dynamite show.
During an interview with MuscleManMalcolm recorded at PWJ Damaged Goods on January 26, Purrazzo was asked about her absence from Dynamite. Answering the question, she commented on the “ebbs and flows of the industry,”, and how she should not be counted out of the fight.
“You know what? There’s ebbs and flows to all of this. There’s been lots and lots of chatter. I am a workhorse. I just started my 13th year of professional wrestling. I have never stopped wrestling. I have never stopped loving this. Again, you have to want more for yourself. I do want more for myself. I want to be on Dynamite, but there’s ebbs and flows. We’ve talked about our stacked division and who’s on top right now, and it’s just gonna be a waiting game. Don’t count me out of the fight, guys.”

Purrazzo was last seen wrestling on the 17th May 2024 episode of Dynamite in a winning encounter against Mariah May. Despite her absence from the Wednesday night show, she has competed on PPVs, including her most recent match against Anna Jay at Full Gear 2024.
Chris Jericho Comments On Britt Baker’s AEW Absence
Absent from in-ring action since November 2024, Britt Baker’s AEW future has been questionable for some time now. With reported backstage unpopularity and other issues, former World Champion Chris Jericho recently weighed in on the situation.
Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Chris Jericho shared:
“You would have to ask Britt that. I haven’t really heard either way, but I know she’s obviously a very valuable part of the company. She’s one of the OGs, probably one of our first homegrown stars, and I think she does a great job whenever she’s in the ring. So, I don’t see her leaving or going anywhere, and I’m looking forward to having her come back on the show because she has a great character and a great presence and, once again, a great fan base within AEW and within the wrestling world.”
In other news: Logan Paul does not want to be compared with this celebrity wrestler.
