Tony Khan continues to be a hot topic of conversation.
Not one to hide his thoughts, Tony Khan’s comments on a double standard in wrestling have been heavily discussed in the past week. With Khan previously firing verbal shots in the direction of WWE and its executives, this is the latest example that has questioned whether the owner of a wrestling company should be making these comments on social media.
While fans have mocked and criticised Khan for his posts, those who know the AEW owner have frequently spoken about his passion and how he will do all he can to make All Elite Wrestling a success, which can sometimes be misinterpreted with his online posts.
While speaking with Adrian Hernandez, former TNT Champion Powerhouse Hobbs was asked about Khan’s comments on WWE booking. Hobbs stated that Khan has full belief in his stars and is letting it be known:
“It’s his company. He believes in us, and if you believe in something, speak your mind. If you’re 100% sure on it, speak your mind. If you’re 99% sure on it, don’t speak on it. He’s 100% sure and he’s speaking his mind. He believes in his company and he believes in us,”
WWE Hall Of Famer Analyses Tony Khan’s Social Media Posts
Khan decided to let his voice be heard when fans were criticising the booking decision to name HOOK a future number one contender but would cheer, albeit ironically, Jinder Mahal when The Modern Day Maharaja was named the new number one contender to Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship. Khan’s biggest issue with this was due to the stark differences in win/loss records between Mahal and HOOK.
H/t to Fightful.
