AEW Star Cleared To Compete, Will Return To Action On June 5th Dynamite

An AEW star is set to make their return to action for the first time since January on the next episode of Dynamite.

Previously sidelined with concussion-related issues, Wheeler Yuta will return to action at the upcoming taping and will team with fellow Blackpool Combat Club members Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli to take on CMLL’s Esfinge, Volador Jr, Magnus and Rugido.

The announcement was made by Tony Khan on social media while hyping up the first-time-ever encounter:

Yes, the medical staff just officially cleared @WheelerYuta today after a 4 month absence + now the entire BCC are ready to jump right into it; teaming together as a 4 man team for the first time in @AEWonTV history vs their rivals from @CMLL_OFICIAL live on TBS tomorrow! LFG

Back in March, Yuta was originally scheduled to team with the rest of the BCC at CMLL’s Viernes Espectacular event. However, as he was not cleared to compete, the AEW star was pulled from the event and replaced with Matt Sydal.

Yuta’s most recent match saw him unsuccessfully challenge Eddie Kingston for the Continental Championship on an episode of Rampage on January 10th.

AEW Star Provides Major Injury Update

At the recent Double or Nothing pay-per-view Adam Copeland successfully defended the TNT Championship against Malakai Black in a barbed wire steel cage match. The match will be best remembered for Copeland’s dive off the top of the cage, which saw the Hall of Famer land feet first and suffer a broken tibia as a result. Providing a new update, Adam Copeland confirmed that he had undergone successful surgery.
