Throughout the summer the wrestling world was best by a number of injuries to stars, but arguably no promotion was hit harder than AEW. With Kenny Omega already missing for a number of months the company also lost CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole and Scorpio Sky.

However, with the AEW roster almost back at full strength, it has been reported that Scorpio Sky could also be back in action any day now.

Scorpio Sky Medically Cleared For AEW Comeback

The report from Fightful Select notes that Sky had been dealing with a leg injury in the lead up to his hiatus which began back in July. While updates on the former TNT Champion have been few and far between, Fightful report that the star has been medically cleared for “quite some time.” Despite this, “no creative plans” have been put forward for the star, extending his absence from the ring. Scorpio Sky did attend an episode of Dynamite back in the summer, and actually filmed some new content, but it didn’t end up being used.

Scorpio Sky hasn’t wrestled since the July 5th episode of AEW Dynamite where he lost the TNT Championship to Wardlow in a Street Fight. That defeat ended his second run with the title that he had been feuding with Sammy Guevara over. At the time of his exit, Sky had been part of American Top Team alongside his partner in Men of the Year, Ethan Page. The AEW branch of American Top Team has since been disbanded, while Page has since joined forces with Stokely Hathaway as part of The Firm.

AEW are currently without Adam Cole and Hangman Adam Page who are both suffering with concussion related injuries. AEW President Tony Khan recently stated that he was “optimistic” regarding a return for the pair.

It had previously been reported that some people with AEW were “very concerned” for Cole who hasn’t wrestled since June.
