AEW Star Claims Wrestlers Who Join Chris Jericho Factions Are “Left In Dust”

Chris Jericho Addresses AEW Fan Chants Telling Him To Retire

This AEW star is not keen on wrestlers joining Chris Jericho’s faction.

Head of ‘The Learning Tree’ in AEW, Chris Jericho has established himself as a leader in the locker room. During his entire run in the promotion, Jericho has been a leader of several factions and mentored multiple budding superstars. He is currently heading his ‘The Learning Tree’ faction with Bryan Keith and Big Bill.

However, ‘The House of Black’ member Brody King is not a fan of wrestlers joining sides with the former World Champion. Speaking to Bill Apter of Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, King seemed critical of his current gimmick.

It’s very disappointing. I feel like he has this…he wants to give back to the young guys, and he wants to mentor people, but as the JAS (Jericho Appreciation Society) showed, I don’t know if that is always the most trustworthy person to take under his lead. It seems like everyone that joins some iteration of a Jericho group ends up getting left in the dust, whether it be the Inner Circle or the JAS.

He further continued to heap praise on Big Bill and Bryan Keith, and how they have a promising singles career ahead of them.

So I think Big Bill is a phenomenal talent. I think he is someone who can really break out and really stand on his own, so I hope that Bill sees that and keeps himself protected. Bryan Keith is no slouch, either. I hope that he doesn’t see this as just an opportunity to get on TV. I hope that he sees this for what it is and also keeps himself protected.”

Eric Bischoff Not Ready To Work For Tony Khan In AEW

Speaking on his podcast, ‘83 Weeks‘, Eric Bischoff discussed if he would like to work with Tony Khan in AEW as their general manager and compete against WWE for weekly ratings, like his WCW past.

However, Eric Bischoff seemed hesitant to do so and stated:

No. I hope AEW pulls a nose up, figures out a way, and has vision, but we all know it’s pretty public, the kind of drama going on backstage. If I was in my 20s and 30s, hell yeah. Why not, especially with the kind of bags that are being thrown around backstage there. Hell yeah, I’d do it. Even in my 40s, I would have done it, but at this stage of my life, I wouldn’t go near it.

First of all, the first time I step foot in AEW, everything that’s wrong with that place would be wrong because of me. I ain’t going near it. I wouldn’t even want to show up on camera anymore. If everything was fine, and you know, Tony and I weren’t going back and forth, and I didn’t call his last All In show hot garbage this morning, even if none of that was happening and we were buddies, I wouldn’t even really want to be on the show.

At this stage of my life, why? It’s not as much fun for me anymore as it would have been when I was in my 40s. If it was a better environment, if the show was great, if it had some momentum and it was fun, sure I would, if it was fun, but it’s not fun.”
