Current AEW champion calls Toni Storm “one of the best talents in the world”.
All geared up for her upcoming Owen Hart Tournament final match against Jamie Hayter at Double or Nothing, current TBS Champion Mercedes Mone heaped praises on her possible future opponent, Toni Storm.
Mone and Hayter will collide against each other on May 25th, with the winner getting a shot at Storm’s Women’s Championship on the upcoming All In PPV. Speaking to Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, the CEO said,
“I am blown away by her work. Before I even thought about signing with AEW, I was watching Toni weeks upon weeks, and I was so captivated by her charisma, character, and presence. I think she is not only one of the best women, (she is) one of the best talents in the whole world. I’ve never seen a woman captivate a character so on demand like she does. She brings so much to AEW, and I can’t wait to take that all away from here [laughs].”

Both Mone and Storm have maintained their position at the top of the AEW roster for the past year, and fans are on the edge of their seats to see these two champions collide with their pride at stake.
AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone Believes Herself To Be “Beyonce Of Wrestling”
In the same interview with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture, Mercedes Mone heaped praises on herself before declaring herself as the “Beyonce of wrestling”.
“I can feel the emotions right now. I feel like I’m about to cry, but I’m going to save that for Texas. Really, that’s what I’ve been dreaming about; main eventing All In. This is our Super Bowl, this is our biggest pay-per-view of the year, and you’re talking to the biggest star in all of professional wrestling, in all of women’s wrestling. I put women’s wrestling on the map. To do that in Texas, well, I am the Beyonce of wrestling, and I cannot wait to show everybody not only my gear, my outfit, my look, just the match alone.”
