AEW Star Believes Vince McMahon ‘Has Personally Fed Thousands Of People’

Despite the ongoing controversies, a top AEW star has shared his beliefs on Vince McMahon.

Earlier this year, current AEW star and Hurt Syndicate member Bobby Lashley parted ways with WWE to make his way into the Jacksonville-based promotion. Involved in a heated feud with Swerve Strickland, Lashley was previously a World Champion and one of the top stars at the Stamford-based promotion.

However, the later tenure of his career under Triple H did not see him as one of the main event stars. Bobby Lashley also once opened up on his connection with Vince McMahon instead of Triple H. In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Lashley opened up on how Vince McMahon helped him and others in the business.

Despite acknowledging McMahon’s ongoing controversies and lawsuits, Lashley believed that the former chairman had helped feed a lot of families and provided them with the opportunity.

You have to have people give you that pull up. That’s what I try to do with people right now. At the same time, I always think of the people that gave me the opportunity. Yeah, Vince is going through a whole bunch right now. We understand that, but Vince McMahon has personally fed thousands of thousands of people and people don’t understand that.

When you have a business like he created, there are so many people right now that, the amount of mouths that he fed and kids that he put through college and houses that he’s buying. There is so much and people don’t understand that. Yes, there are a lot of bad things going on right now, but because of that business, we have so many people who are able to do things that they probably never had an opportunity to do.”

Vince McMahon is currently being investigated by the government after a lawsuit was filed earlier this year by former employee Janel Grant, who accused the former of sexual assault and sex trafficking. He is also currently involved in the ‘Ring Boy’ lawsuit.

Vince McMahon’s ‘Ring Boy’ Lawsuit Currently Paused By Judge

Earlier this year in October, Vince McMahon was accused of multiple horrifying sex crimes against young boys who worked as ring boys for the promotion. However, as the lawsuit continued, WWE and TKO filed a motion to pause the lawsuit until the Maryland Supreme Court determined the constitutionality of the Maryland Child Victims Act.

On 4th December 2024, Judge James K. Bredar granted WWE’s request to pause the lawsuit and wait for the court’s decision.
