The wrestler who will bring Bryan Danielson’s full-time career to an end may have been decided.
Following his victory at All In to capture the World Championship, The American Dragon appeared live on the follow-up episode of Dynamite and announced that when he loses the title he will be a part-time performer moving forward. While many are hoping that Danielson’s run does not end anytime soon, a potential name has been in discussions.
As reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Darby Allin has been in conversations to be the one to dethrone Danielson, potentially at Grand Slam or WrestleDream:
I think the idea is that if Allin wins the title from Danielson, which has been at least strongly talked about, whether in New York or Tacoma (Allin, Strickland and Danielson are all from the state of Washington), the somewhat clean loss does allow for Perry to be in line for a title shot.
Allin lost to Jack Perry in a coffin match at All In, which saw Sting make his return after the match to stop Perry and The Young Bucks lighting Allin on fire while inside the casket.
Next Challenger For Bryan Danielson Set
With All Out just 2 weeks after All In, All Elite Wrestling has already begun the build for the next pay-per-view on September 8th. As Danielson looked to celebrate his Wembley Stadium victory and welcome all challengers, the segment was interrupted by Jack Perry, who attacked Danielson to close out the show.
