Adam Cole has opened up on his wrestling future.
In the wrestling business for more than a decade, Adam Cole has enjoyed several successful stints across multiple promotions. Winning multiple titles and accolades across AEW, ROH, and WWE, Cole recently opened up on his career’s future.
Since joining AEW in 2021, Cole’s journey has been a bit bumpy. With no singles title win yet and a major injury setback throughout 2024, Adam Cole recently appeared on Close Up with Renee Paquette, and discussed his future.
When asked about his setbacks and motivation, Cole said,
“To me, there’s just no other choice. I know these challenges have been difficult, but everyone goes through their own challenges in their own way. I’m not even close to wanting to be done with wrestling. I feel like I have a lot more to offer, especially here in AEW, so even with these roadblocks or with these challenges, my mentality has just never changed. I’m fully confident that I’ll be able to come back from all this and have the best years of my career ahead of me.”

Cole is currently working closely with Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly. The former NXT Champion has also been recently eyeing Daniel Garcia’s TNT Championship.
Adam Cole Wants To Return To NJPW
Recently speaking with Chris Mueller of Bleacher Report, Adam Cole claimed that a return to NJPW is currently one of his priorities.
“The one for sure that I think I would love to do is I definitely want to go back to New Japan. I got the chance to wrestle there a few times and I got to do a Wrestle Kingdom show, which was amazing. But then right as I started going to Japan more often is when I left [for WWE], so I was not able to continue going to Japan. So now that I’m back in All Elite Wrestling, the idea of being able to go over and wrestle for New Japan again is very high up on my list.”
