AEW Revolution saw two new matches added on Dynamite with Miro and Kip facing Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy and a Casino Tag Team Royale announced.
Miro and Kip Sabian have been feuding with Best Friends since Miro debuted in AEW in September 2020. The animosity began when Trent accidentally destroyed an arcade game Miro had bought for Sabian. Since then the feud escalated with Miro defeating Trent in one-on-one competition.
Trent would then suffer an injury that has seen him out of action for several months. In that time Orange Cassidy has fought alongside Taylor. Cassidy would emerge from a giant wedding cake during Sabian’s on-screen wedding to Penelope Ford. Cassidy would then beat down Sabian with the help of Taylor. This came after Taylor had shackled Miro’s foot to the bottom rope.
Another extravaganza of tag team wrestling was also announced for Revolution in the form of the Casino Tag Team Royale. The winners of the match will receive a title shot for the AEW Tag Team Championships in the future. Seven teams have so far been announced with more to come in the run-up to AEW Revolution. The seven teams announced so far are Bear Country, Silver and Reynolds, Evil Uno and Stu Grayson, Santana and Ortiz, The Butcher and The Blade, Private Party, and Top Flight. All these teams will be keeping a close eye on the AEW Tag Team Title match at Revolution between The Young Bucks and MJF and Chris Jericho.
The ‘Face Of The Revolution’ ladder match at AEW Revolution added another competitor on Dynamite. Lance Archer qualified for the match by defeating Rey Fenix. Archer will join Cody Rhodes, Scorpio Sky, and Penta El Zero M. Max Caster faces Dark Order’s Ten for one of the two remaining spaces in the match on AEW Dynamite.
AEW Revolution will also see WWE Hall of Famer Sting return to action for the first time in over 5 years. The Icon will team with Darby Allin to face Team Taz’s Brian Cage and Ricky Starks in a street fight.
The AEW World Heavyweight Championship will also be on the line at AEW Revolution. Champion Kenny Omega will defend against the man he beat for the title in controversial circumstances, Jon Moxley. The pair will face each other in an Exploding Barbed Wire Death Match.
