At AEW Full Gear on Saturday November 7, it was revealed that the company will return to pay-per-view with AEW Revolution in the New Year.
AEW Revolution was announced for February 27, 2021, and although it is currently unknown what the card will look like as we enter a better year, it is heavily thought that it’ll be the night Kenny Omega challenges Jon Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.

At AEW Full Gear, Kenny Omega triumphed over ‘Hangman’ Adam Page in the Final of the AEW World Heavyweight Championship Eliminator Tournament following two hefty V-Triggers and a One Winged Angel which sealed his status as number one contender.
In the main event, Jon Moxley defeated Eddie Kingston to retain the company’s main prize in a brutal bout which saw the champion wrap barbed wire around his hand and apply a bulldog choke for the submission victory.
Now champion and challenger are on a collision course and such a match could only be done justice on pay-per-view.
The last time both men did battle on pay-per-view was at AEW Full Gear 2019 in an Unsanctioned Lights Out Match which Moxley won.
It was at AEW Revolution this year that Jon Moxley defeated Chris Jericho to capture the AEW World Heavyweight Championship. Meaning that by the time the company reach their next pay-per-view, his reign will be one year old.
