AEW will reportedly leave their residency at Daily’s Place next month, as the company is preparing for a move to Miami.
According to a new report from Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, AEW is set to head to Miami for the month of February, where the month’s worth of Dynamite, Dark, and their Revolution pay-per-view will emanate from.
One potential reason for this, the report adds, may be the weather – with Daily’s Place being an open-air venue.
“Additionally, I was told that there have been some complaints about wrestling in the the sub-freezing weather in an outside venue [Daily’s Place] which likely played into the company’s decision to move production to a warmer location. Plus it was noted that a change of scenery would be good for everyone’s morale.”
Another interesting note is that AEW’s ‘Beach Break’ special may very well end up on February after the tragic passing of Brodie Lee saw the company push back the first two weeks of scheduled programming to host a special tribute show in the former TNT Champion’s honour.
AEW Dynamite will emanate from Jacksonville this week for Night 1 of New Year’s Smash, with Night 2 tapings being recorded on Thursday. The Bodyslam.net report adds that AEW will be back live at Daily’s Place on January 20th before taping the episode set for the 27th on the 21st – before heading to Miami for the month of February.
