The ratings for the latest episode of AEW Rampage that aired on the 7th of January have now been revealed.
AEW Rampage on TNT averaged a total viewership of 588,000 according to the Wrestling Observer. This showed an increase of almost 30% from the previous week’s offering which aired on New Year’s Eve. The rating also marked the best total viewership that the show had achieved since the 6th of November.
In the much-discussed 18-49 demo, AEW Rampage achieved a 0.24 rating – finishing the night in seventh place on cable using that metric. The demo rating also marked an increase from the New Year’s Eve show of over 26%.
Rampage kicked off inside the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey with Adam Cole taking on AEW newcomer Jake Atlas. Cole claimed a submission win as he hooked on a kneebar with Atlas seemingly suffering a knee injury after an awkward landing.
The talk of the wrestling world was also in action as HOOK went one-on-one with The Nightmare Factory’s Aaron Solo. HOOK displayed his dominance once again before submitting Solo with his Redrum chokehold.
Riho got her hands on Dr. Britt Baker ahead of the two women meeting at Battle Of The Belts for the AEW Women’s Championship. The Japanese star teamed with Ruby Soho to defeat Baker and Jamie Hayter.
The main event of the show saw Santana, Ortiz, and Eddie Kingston team up to take on 2point0 and Daniel Garcia in a No Holds Barred six-man tag team match. Santana picked up the pinfall win for his team with Chris Jericho joining the fray to chase off 2point0 and Garcia after the bout.
