The total viewership and demo ratings for the latest instalment of Friday night’s AEW Rampage on TNT have been revealed.

The April 8th episode of AEW Rampage drew 600,000 viewers which is an increase on the 456,000 who tuned in the previous week. The show also scored a 0.25 rating in the key 18-49 year-old demographic, which equates to 328,000 viewers.

That’s the highest viewership since January 28th, and the second highest in 2022.

The April 8th edition of AEW Rampage began with the clash between Bryan Danielson and Trent Beretta. Although Danielson eventually picked up the win, Beretta gave as good as he got in defeat, before submitting to the Labelle Lock.

It proved to a good night for the Blackpool Combat Club as Jon Moxley defeated Wheeler Yuta in the main event. A blood-soaked Yuta eventually passed out in a Rear-Naked Choke, but not before kicking out of the Paradigm Shift not once, but twice, and putting his rival through a table.

After the match William Regal and Bryan Danielson came to the ring to show their respect to Yuta.

Elsewhere there were wins for Swerve Strickland and Red Velvet. The latter defeated Willow Nightingale in the first round of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
