AEW Pull Jon Moxley From Major European Event

Jon Moxley with the AEW World Championship

One of Europe’s top promotions will have to run one of its biggest shows without its main attraction Jon Moxley.

AEW star Moxley was scheduled to wrestle in Ireland for Over The Top Wrestling at their special St Patrick’s Day weekend event ScrapperMania 7. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Tony Khan’s promotion has pulled the former World Champion from the show.

In a press release, the promotion addressed the situation. The statement read:

“Unfortunately AEW have confirmed that due to a newly added live event on March 18th in Ohio, USA, Jon Moxley will no longer be able to appear at OTT ScrapperMania 7. However, AEW have confirmed that they will send two replacements, one of whom will be Eddie Kingston with second name to be confirmed in the coming days. We would like to express out deepest apologies to our fans who have been looking forward to seeing Jon Moxley but our team are working hard around the clock to make sure ScrapperMania 7 surpasses all expectations.

The show features several other big names such as Big Damo, Davey Richards, Trent Seven, and Santino Marella.

The announcement comes after several weeks of doubt due to AEW launching their live events series titled AEW House Rules.

The promotion revealed their plans for non-televised events on February 1st. The first show will take place on Saturday, March 18 in Troy, Ohio, at the Hobart Arena. As well as featuring Ohio’s own Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Dr. Britt Baker, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, and many others will be in action.

AEW Recently Pulled Several Stars From Another Show

Wheeler Yuta, Willow Nightingale, Tracy Williams, and Trish Adora were all slated to appear at Beyond Wrestling’s Perfection or Profanity. The event takes place on February 26th, which may be the reason why the wrestlers are no longer available to compete. The promotion took to social media to post about the changes to their show.

Wheeler YUTA, Willow Nightingale, Tracy Williams, and Trish Adora will no longer be appearing or competing at “Perfection Or Vanity” on Sunday, 2/26 at White Eagle in Worcester. Email beyondwrestling@gmail.com if you’d like a refund.

The cancellations were because of the first Ring of Honor tapings under Khan’s ownership. The promotion is scheduled to begin recording content for its weekly TV show on February 25th and 26th at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
