AEW Original Retired After Collision Match [SPOILER]

Original Plans For AEW Title Match

One former ROH Champion is thought to be retired after a recent AEW Collision match.

With his signing being announced in January of 2019, Christopher Daniels has been with All Elite Wrestling since the beginning. In addition to being an in-ring performer, the star serves as Head of Talent Relations for the company.

Daniels has been teasing that his in-ring career is nearing its end for some time, and according to a new report from Fightful Select, Daniels has competed in his last match.

The January 18th episode of Collision was taped in Cincinnati, OH on January 16th, and the show saw Christopher Daniels face off against Hangman Adam Page in a bloody Texas Death Match. The bout included barbed wire, a table-breaking double stomp, and a devastating Deadeye on a chair. Daniels’ arm went limp after a Buckshot Lariat, giving Page the win. Adding insult to injury, Page hit Daniels’ signature Angel’s Wings post-match.

Fightful Select reports that Daniels has been looking to retire for some time, and that the Texas Death Match is believed to be his last, making the star effectively retired from in-ring action.
