AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling are set to come together to put on an incredible supershow, here’s all the information for Forbidden Door!

Tony Khan teased one of his famous big announcements on the 20th of April edition of AEW Dynamite. Khan introduced NJPW President Takami Ohbari to the stage but before any announcement could be made, Adam Cole appeared on the big screen to announce a supershow between the two companies called Forbidden Door.

The name is of course in reference to the term coined by Hiroshi Tanahashi during his feud with then AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. The two men met at Wrestle Kingdom 14 with the stipulation that if Tanahashi had won he’d meet Jericho again this time for the AEW Title, thereby slipping through the Forbidden Door as the relationship between the companies was seemingly frosty at best.

But times have changed and now the best of AEW and the best of NJPW will do battle to see which company will come out on top!

Read the five things we’d like to see at Forbidden Door and find out everything you need to know below.
