With AEW on the brink of making its debut in Canada, the company will also be holding its first-ever matches in Europe this month.
All Elite Wrestling is yet to run shows outside of the United States but that will change this October when Dynamite and Rampage both debut in Toronto, Canada. Europe however, is set to get some of its own All Elite bouts before then with the company holding exhibition contests at the Gamescom 2022 trade fair in Cologne, Germany.
The matches are being held as part of the promotion for the Fight Forever video game which is currently available for pre-order. THQNordic, who is the publisher of Fight Forever touted AEW’s involvement at Gamescom in a press release:
“THQ Nordic and HandyGames will present 11 games on stage every day starting on Wednesday, August 24th until Sunday, August 28th – and yes, there will be t-shirts.”
“The shows will run between 11:00 AM and 16:30 PM each day and there’s something extra special from Thursday to Sunday: THQ Nordic is thrilled to be hosting the first-ever AEW Exhibition Matches in Cologne at 17:00 PM. Watch famous AEW talents fighting forever (well, maybe not forever) in our very own ring and bring incredible wrestling action right to you.”
No matches or talent has yet been announced for the convention but there is no shortage of European names on the company’s roster with the likes of PAC, Kip Sabian, Jamie Hayter, Anthony Ogogo, Claudio Castagnoli, Malakai Black, and Miro all plying their trade in All Elite Wrestling.
