AEW locks down former WWE star to a new long-term deal.
Long-term AEW star “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard is set to remain with Tony Khan’s promotion for several more years. According to a latest update from Fightful Select, Matt Menard has signed a long-term new deal with the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Menard’s contract was originally set to expire during All In but has now been renewed. The new deal is for five years and is expected to go well into the summer of 2030.
The Canadian wrestler is currently a semi-active wrestler and has only competed a few times in 2025. He still occasionally teams with his longtime 2.0 partner Angelo Parker. Menard has remained a part of the commentary team for the last couple of years and is a well-liked member of the All Elite Wrestling locker room.
Prior to joining the Jacksonville-based promotion in 2021, Menard was also a part of the WWE roster from 2016 to 2021.
The 41-year-old joined All Elite Wrestling in 2021 alongside his tag-team partner Angelo Parker as 2.0 and has remained a part of the promotion since then. His last match was a loss against FTR on the 12th April episode of Collision.
AEW Star Reacts After Karrion Kross’ WWE Exit
A few days ago, on August 10th, Karrion Kross and his partner’s WWE contracts concluded. A part of the roster for the last few years, Kross recently became one of the most popular stars on the roster.
However, despite his popularity, WWE failed to capitalize on his momentum and give him his deserved push. Not extending his contract, Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux recently parted ways with the promotion and relaunched their own merch website.
