AEW Hires Former WWE Senior Writer

AEW has announced the newest member of the behind-the-scenes team.

First reported by Sports Illustrated and later confirmed by Tony Khan, former WWE senior writer and producer Jennifer Pepperman is now a part of All Elite Wrestling. Pepperman’s job title will be Vice President of Content. To celebrate the signing, Khan welcomed Pepperman on social media and gave the three-time Emmy Award winner the customary “All Elite” Graphic:

A press release to announce the signing notes that Pepperman will work directly alongside Khan in the development of each of the 3 weekly shows, Dynamite, Rampage and Collision. Khan would also elaborate on his social media post within the press release:

“Adding Jennifer Pepperman’s brilliant mind to the AEW team opens the door for exciting new ideas and will help us build upon the incredible stories currently developing on the road to AEW Revolution across our three weekly shows on TBS and TNT, and the effects of Jennifer’s arrival in AEW will be felt for many years in the future,” said Khan in a statement. “We’re thrilled to welcome her today, and I look forward to her creativity and collaboration with our team across the board in what will be AEW’s biggest year yet, and beyond.”

Alongside her work in professional wrestling, Pepperman has prior experience in soap operas, which is where she won her Emmy Awards.

New AEW Hire Joins Shortly After WWE Departure

Prior to becoming All Elite, Pepperman was a part of WWE from 2017, working as a senior writer and producer. News broke on February 15th that the former WWE writer had left the company, with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce confirming the news on the same day. It was also stated that Pepperman’s departure was her choice and was not a WWE release.

In regard to Pepperman’s immediate future in All Elite Wrestling, it was stated in the most recent Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the Emmy Award winning writer is close with Mercedes Mone, who is expected to make her debut with the promotion on March 13th as part of the Big Business special episode at the TD Garden in Boston.
