AEW ‘Hide’ CM Punk On Dynamite

CM Punk

CM Punk has been absent from AEW since September 2022, and the company wasn’t about to end that exile on March 22nd.

The issues behind Punk’s absence are well documented. After All Out on September 4th, the star launched into a tirade against The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Hangman Adam Page, and Colt Cabana. This led to a brawl backstage, and to make matters worse Punk was already injured having suffered a serious triceps injury during his match on the show.

However, they say time heals all wounds, and surgery can fix a triceps tear. So six months down the line and with surgery well and truly behind him, it has been reported that Punk could theoretically be back in action soon. Although, if he is to return to AEW, the company is making sure they give little away.

On the March 22nd edition of AEW Dynamite, the show opened with a segment in the parking lot featuring a number of Punk’s adversaries. The Young Bucks had been left laying, with Kenny Omega and Adam Page checking on them. The Bucks eventually left in an ambulance.

Fans were also quick to notice some strategically placed cardboard in the background that covered up CM Punk’s on the side of one of the production trucks.

CM Punk Working On AEW Return?

Despite this, it has been reported that CM Punk is “looking to get back” into AEW. The report from Dave Meltzer stated that Punk “wants back in” reiterating that he will soon be recovered from his triceps injury and fit to wrestle again should AEW decide to use him.
