AEW Grand Slam is struggling to sell tickets and it appears the company is giving fans a deal to put butts in the seats.

It’s the fans’ turn to volley back for AEW when the wrestling company heads to Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 20 and AEW looks to be offering fans a “buy one, get one free” discount to potential attendees.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics took note of the offer and gave further perspective by giving a ticket count courtesy of WrestleTix. As it stands now, 6,241 are sold which is under half of what they sold in 2022. Last year’s Grand Slam event sold 13,321 tickets.

The Card Is Stacked For AEW Grand Slam

AEW Grand Slam has become one of the company’s tent pole events on its calender year and AEW is stacking up the card in hopes to get fans’ attention. Currently on tap for Grand Slam is new AEW Women’s Champion Saraya taking on the winners between Britt Baker, Toni Storm, Nyla Rose and Hikaru Shida. Similarly, New York’s “favorite son” AEW World Champion MJF will take on the winner between Samoa Joe and Roderick Strong. There is also a big rivalry renewed as Eddie Kingston will battle Claudio Castagnoli in a title vs. title match. Finally, there is a storied grudge match between Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara.

AEW has had a busy schedule over the course of the last several weeks with two massive pay-per-views in All In and All Out. There has been a concern that Tony Khan is oversaturating its market with the major events and although sales were unprecedented for Wembley, the domestic sales for live events are not reflective of that.
