AEW Forbidden Door Main Event Announced As MJF Is Fooled

MJF will be in the main event of AEW Forbidden Door 2025.

This year’s AEW Forbidden Door main event has been set thanks to MJF being tricked during Dynamite.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman currently holds the contract for an AEW World Championship shot, which he secured in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In. He has been tormenting current champion “Hangman” Adam Page and even getting under his skin to fight him for the world title.

This year’s Forbidden Door will take place at The 02 Arena in London, England. Six title matches have been announced, and a singles match that will involve New Japan Pro-Wrestling President Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Page and MJF opened this week’s episode of Dynamite by getting into each other’s throats and throwing insults after insults.

The Salt of the Earth went so far as to say he will crucify the defending champion.

Page then set the record straight by telling Friedman that he only has a contract for a world title shot and not an actual championship match. The former proceeded to challenge the latter’s guts and indicated that he doesn’t have what it takes.

After being goaded by The Cowboy, The Salt of The Earth angrily invoked his contract to challenge him for the richest prize in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

‘Hangman’ Adam Page and MJF will main event AEW Forbidden Door 2025

After executing his contract, Maxwell Jacob Friedman exclaimed to Adam Page that they would meet at Forbidden Door in London, England. The Salt of the Earth then snapped back into reality as the realization of using his “insurance policy” had sunk in, much to the delight of the defending champion.

The world championship match between Page and MJF will be the upcoming pay-per-view’s main event after President Tony Khan made it official. The Salt of the Earth is looking to win back his “BurBerry Belt” (Triple B) and exact revenge on Hangman, to whom he lost at Revolution 2025 back in March.

With tensions running high, a potential classic might take place at Forbidden Door as the two will go tooth and nail to win the world title.
