AEW‘s new deal with Warner Bros Discovery is finally official.

For months, speculation has swirled about AEW’s media right deal with WBD approaching expiration. On October 1st, reports indicated that an announcement regarding a new deal was expected imminently, and that announcement is finally here.

Variety broke the news that All Elite Wrestling and Warner Bros Discovery had a new multi-year deal in place, and that while no details of the financial agreement had been made public, sources indicate Tony Khan’s company will receive upwards of $150 million per year.

According to the report, Dynamite will remain on TBS while Collision will remain on TNT, but in addition to being broadcast on those channels, both programs will be simulcast on Max’s streaming service in the US. Those programs will be available on demand as of January 2025.

Tony Khan was excited about the announcement, telling Variety:

“We are honored to announce the extension of our incredible partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery. This extension continues the tradition of iconic wrestling events broadcast on TBS and TNT, while also establishing a new legacy for AEW through weekly live streams on Max for years to come. We thank David Zaslav, Kathleen Finch and everyone at WBD for their tireless support of All Elite Wrestling since its inception, as well as the AEW fans, talent and staff that helped make this possible.”

The report makes no mention of Rampage, bolstering speculation that the show could be dropped from AEW’s programming lineup.

AEW Announcer Tony Schiavone has commented on the deal, saying he is excited that he will be able to continue his career in AEW for another four or five years.

AEW PPV’s Will Be Discounted For Max Subscribers

All Elite Wrestling’s integration with Max will also see a change to their pay-per-view model, as Max subscribers will be able to stream PPV’s at a discounted price beginning in late 2025. No specific details on pricing were named in the report, but marketing of pay-per-views is said to focus on streaming them on Max.

Kathleen Finch, the chairman and CEO of US Networks for Warner Bros. Discovery, praised Tony Khan and All Elite Wrestling as wonderful partners, saying:

“Tony Khan and the entire AEW team have been incredible partners, and we are thrilled to strike this expanded agreement to deliver amazing new AEW content and stories to TNT and TBS, as well as bring the thrilling live action to Max for the first time. We are focused on creating fresh and authentic experiences for AEW’s passionate and engaged fanbase while also introducing them to our growing lineup of high-action sports and entertainment at TNT and beyond.”

With fans having many questions about the new AEW deal, answers have since been provided.
