AEW Fan Gifts Brian Pillman Jr Incredible Heartwarming Gift

Brian Pillman Jr

Brian Pillman was one of the most promising junior heavyweights of the late 1980s and early 1990s when things took a sudden and tragic turn for him.

Brian Sr. died on October 5th, 1997 – the eve of WWE Bad Blood – from a heart attack that was believed to have been caused by atherosclerotic heart disease. He was only 35 years old when he died, and his memory has lived on in wrestling, both through a series of tribute shows and through his son Brian Pillman Jr.

Brian Jr.’s career hasn’t reached the same heights as his father’s, though. Despite some promising interactions with people like MJF and having the spotlight shone on him when his late father was the subject of a Dark Side of the Ring Episode, Pillman Jr. has yet to have his big break in the squared circle.

And yet, fans haven’t forgotten about his father, which is why one fan gifted Brian Jr. with a thoughtful piece of wrestling memorabilia to help him remember his father.

Taking to Twitter, Brian Jr revealed that a fan gave him a ticket stub for a wrestling event that took place at the University of Illinois on September 27, 1997.

According to Brian Jr., this was the last-ever show on which Brian Pillman Sr. ever wrestled.

Brian Jr. is one of many wrestlers currently signed to AEW, although he spends more time wrestling for ROH and across the American independent wrestling circuit.
