Both the US side finalists and the Japan side winner of the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament have been decided!
Airing live on Bleacher Report, the latest tournament matches included Ryo Mizunami vs. Yuka Sakazaki and Thunder Rosa vs. Riho. A special six-woman tag team match featuring AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida also took place on the show, the results of which can be found below. You can find the results of the previous Eliminator Tournament YouTube stream here.
Hikaru Shida, Mei Suruga and Rin Kadokura def. Emi Sakura, Veny and Maki Itoh
Ryo Mizunami def. Yuka Sakazaki
Thunder Rosa def. Riho
Therefore, Ryo Mizunami has been declared the victor of the Japan side of the tournament. However, fans will have to wait a while longer to find out both AEW Eliminator Tournament finalists. The victorious Thunder Rosa will take on Nyla Rose on the 1st of March in a match airing on YouTube. Ryo Mizunami will then face off against the winner of that match on the next edition of Dynamite. Hikaru Shida will then battle the overall tournament winner for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Revolution.
Though the show was supposed to air worldwide for free on Bleacher Report, many fans outside of the United States encountered issues. After disappointed fans were informed that ‘this content is unavailable in your region’, AEW responded quickly. Within half an hour of the issues being reported, the stream was uploaded to YouTube. Tony Khan also took to Twitter to apologise to fans that were unable to watch live on Bleacher Report.
