AEW Dynasty Match For Women's World Title Confirmed

On the April 3rd episode of AEW Dynamite, Thunder Rosa secured the position of the number-one contender for the Women’s World Championship after triumphing over Mariah May in a number-one contender match via pinfall.

Following the match, it was promptly revealed that Rosa would vie for the title against reigning champion Toni Storm at AEW Dynasty. This upcoming title clash at the pay-per-view event marks Storm’s inaugural defence of the championship since her victory over Deonna Purrazzo at Revolution.

Notably, this highly anticipated match will also signify Thunder Rosa’s first pay-per-view appearance since Forbidden Door 2022. Rosa was the reigning Women’s Champion until the November 23rd 2022 episode of Dynamite when she was forced to relinquish the title due to injury. Rosa made her return from injury on the December 16th 2023 episode of Collision after over 16 months away from the ring.
